Position: Jr. IT Network Administrator, Full-time permanent (2 positions)
Location: Toronto (GTA), Ontario

In business since 1985, ARCOM Telecom Ltd. offers a solution-based suite of networking and IT products and services throughout Canada.

We are currently hiring for the position of Network Administrator. As one of our Network Administrators, you will work with our Networking & IT group on large communications upgrade/expansion projects in various industries. As a team, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and testing switches, routers, cabling, etc. as required to meet the customer’s project design specifications.

This opportunity is located in Greater Toronto Area.
Travel to Nova Scotia, for training purposes, may be required.

As a minimum, candidates must have completed courses/experience in:

• Graduate of a Network Administration/Support diploma program or similar, including exposure to such concepts as:
  • LAN / WAN Architecture
  • Networking basics
  • Linux / Unix Operating Systems
  • Windows Network Administration / Infrastructure
  • Web server administration
  • Wireless networks

Skills / competencies:

• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
• Ability to work to specified project timelines and execute assigned project activities efficiently
• Self motivated and able to work in a team environment
• Willingness to work irregular hours and travel as required
• Open to an environment of continuous learning
